Gang Saw Machining Process

The gang saw unit price is higher than other fin types (such as skived, folding, interlocking, stacking and extrusion). The advantage of using gang saw (using a band of many saw blades to cut at the same time from stock material) method can achieve the ultimate cooling efficiency but on the other hand also produce a higher scrap rate during the manufacturing process, so the unit price is somewhat higher.

We can cut the fins on both side of the material. We supplied gang saw fin works to a US and UK customer for use in NASA, defense and aviation projects where space and weight are of concern and very limited but required high efficiency cooling.

The heat pipes can be incorporated into the gang saw fin for even more efficient cooling.

The type #1 is suitable for high dense and thin fin heat sink. The minimum fin thickness can be achieved to 0.3mm and gap between fin to fin is 0.8mm.Maximum fin height 13mm.

Gang Saw Machining Process
The type #2 is suitable for high fin height performance. The minmum fin thickness can be achieved to 0.8mm and gap between fin to fin is 2mm.Maximum fin height 70mm.
